- Required for basic operations like uploading and translating books

- Not used for analytics or advertising
Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union and served through our own domain (tenet.lettercarta.com), to understand how visitors use the website and the app so we can improve them.
- Records the pages you view and interactions such as clicks and form submissions. We do not record your screen or sessions.
- Stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so repeat visits can be recognised
- When you are logged in, links this activity to your account's public ID
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, runs only after you choose "Accept & Continue" in the cookie banner
- Never used for advertising, and never sold
3. Third-Party Cookies (Payments)
We do not use any advertising or marketing cookies. However, on payment pages, Stripe may set essential cookies and local storage values for fraud prevention and secure payment processing. 4. Cookie Consent

- Essential only allows essential cookies and keeps analytics off
Analytics does not start until you choose. Your choice is saved in your browser for one year. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser settings and choose again, or contact us. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default, and you can stop it the same way or by blocking local storage for this site.
5. Cookie Duration
- Session cookies last until the browser is closed or the user logs out
- No hard expiration is set for sessions; they persist unless invalidated by user action
- We do not use persistent or "remember me" login cookies. Stripe may use short-lived cookies necessary for payment security.
- The cookieConsent cookie that records your banner choice lasts one year
- PostHog's local storage identifier remains until you clear this site's data in your browser
