Authentication is managed by Auth0, with servers located in the European Union.

b) Uploaded and Translated Content

Books uploaded by users are stored permanently until deleted by the user.
Translated content is stored under the same conditions.

c) Usage and Technical Data

We collect metadata such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device information
  • Usage patterns

This data is used solely for improving the performance, reliability, and user experience of the service.


3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and operate Lettercarta
  • Process and store books and translations

Note: Book data may be shared with third-party AI services (including but not limited to OpenAI and Google Gemini) solely for the purpose of generating translations.

  • Payments: Paddle
  • AI Translation APIs: OpenAI, Google Gemini (Used to perform AI-powered translations)

We do not use cookies for marketing or retargeting purposes.


6. Data Retention

  • User accounts, books, and translations are retained until the user deletes them.
  • Usage logs are stored for up to 3 months and then deleted automatically.

Lettercarta is not intended for children where such use is restricted by local law (e.g., under 13 in the US, under 16 in some EU countries).
